Q

What time do flights launch?

A

Because winds are the most calm and predictable during the early morning hours, we meet at sunrise and take off shortly thereafter.

Q

How long is the experience?

A

We recommend that passengers allow approximately 3 hours for the entire flight experience.

Q

Do you fly in the Winter?

A

Yes, we fly year-around weather permitting. Often times due to an inversion layer, it feels warmer during the flight than on the ground. We recommend passengers wear a hat, gloves, a heavy weight jacket and warm shoes/boots.

Q

What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

A

High winds, rain, snow and low visibility prevent balloons from safely flying. If requested, we will do our best to reschedule passengers for next available flight should you be canceled due to inclement weather. There is no charge to passenger’s credit cards before the flight. Payment is processed in full at the completion of the flight.

Q

What is the cancelation policy?

A

Reservations must be canceled a minimum of 48 hours of the scheduled flight. All no shows will be charged 50% of the total cost of their flight.

Q

What will I get to see on my flight?

A

Our hot air balloon flights take place in the beautiful Boulder Valley where we float peacefully for around an hour. Passengers enjoy 360-degree views from the basket with sights including wildlife, the Boulder Flatirons, 14,000 foot peaks, the Continental Divide, and the Front Range. Often times we can see into two other states!

Q

Are your pilots licensed?

A

All of Aero-Cruise’s pilots maintain commercial FAA licensing. They have accumulated over 15,000 flight hours and counting.

Q

What should I wear?

A

It is often chilly when passenger arrive at the launch site. Temperatures do warm up quickly so we recommend layering clothes accordingly. In the Spring/Summer dress comfortable in a light jacket, but for safety reasons no open toed shoes or heels. Hats and water are recommended during the warmer months.

Q

Can children fly?

A

Yes, children age 5 and up can fly. They must be 48″ tall in order to see over the side of the basket.

Q

Are there weight or health restrictions?

A

Due to insurance restrictions we do not fly pregnant women or individuals that weigh over 300 lbs. Passengers must be in good health and able to stand for 1 hour.
